Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Well Intervention Engineer for a 6 month PAYE contract based onshore in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities
- Ensures projects are planned in full compliance with corporate policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements, and are executed safely and efficiently.
- Prepares detailed well intervention work programmes.
- Interfaces effectively with other teams e.g. duty holders, asset, subsurface, supply chain, finance to safely and successfully deliver the well intervention.
- Keeps abreast of new and emerging technologies in support of the client’s objective to be an industry leader.
- Ensures detailed risk assessments are prepared for planned well operations and risks are managed and mitigated as appropriate.
- Provides support to rig-based well operations as needed.
- Captures and closes out lessons learned and analysis of NPT events.
- Prepares and evaluates tenders. Acts as Technical Sponsor for certain contracts.
- Supports the contractor management process by developing positive relationships with contractors and suppliers. Ensures contractor delivery against KPIs/scorecards.
- Prepares and submits End of Well Reports in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the maintenance of well intervention records and ensuring that any changes to well status as a result of a well intervention are noted.
- Preparation of cost estimates and AFEs and monitoring of expenditures.
- Develops positive relationships with the Well Examiner and regulatory organisations and liaises effectively with them.
- Participates in the Wells’ duty rota and provides support to the Incident Management Team (IMT) in the event of a relevant incident.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate peer reviews and/or risk assessments are held for planned well intervention activity, with all required actions closed out.
- Responsible for ensuring change is identified during operations and that the appropriate MOC standards are followed and appropriate steps are taken.
- Close liaison with the Production Engineering teams and Production Technologists complying with WISOR’s and utilising the EIKOS Management System.
- Covers for Senior Well Intervention Engineer during periods of absence.
Specific Requirements:
- HNC in engineering, technology or science discipline and significant time served in a well intervention discipline.
- Considerable offshore experience in at least one well intervention discipline.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering well intervention operations and managing offshore well intervention teams.
- Experience of risk management techniques and processes.
- Good understanding of interventions from LWI vessels.
- Good understanding of Completion well design and execution.
- Experience of well integrity operations.
- Highly focused on HSE performance with excellent safety attitude and behaviour.
- Delivery focused with positive attitude and behaviour, together with flexibility.
- Strong communicator and good relationship builder.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Commercial awareness.
