Offshore Wind Transportation & Installation Engineer (Jacket Piling Specialist) Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Wind Transport & Installation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on the planning and execution of jacket piling operations. This role requires a deep understanding of offshore engineering principles, project management, and a proven track record in the offshore wind industry. Key Responsibilities: Piling Plan Development: Develop comprehensive piling plans, including detailed procedures, risk assessments, and method statements. Coordinate with key stakeholders, such as vessel owners, contractors, and clients, to ensure alignment with project objectives. Optimize piling sequences and methodologies to minimize project duration and cost. Piling Equipment and Resource Planning: Identify and procure necessary piling equipment, such as hammers, templates, and auxiliary vessels. Develop detailed resource plans, including personnel, equipment, and logistics. Ensure timely mobilization and demobilization of equipment and personnel to the offshore site. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and developing mitigation strategies. Implement robust quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Monitor weather conditions and sea state to optimize piling operations and minimize downtime. Site Supervision and Coordination: Oversee piling operations on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety protocols. Coordinate with the offshore installation team, including vessel operators, crane operators, and divers. Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the piling process. Post-Installation Verification: Conduct post-installation inspections and surveys to verify the integrity of the piled foundations. Analyze data collected during the piling process to identify lessons learned and improve future operations. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in offshore wind project execution, with a strong focus on jacket foundation installation. In-depth knowledge of offshore engineering principles, including soil mechanics, structural analysis, and hydrodynamics. Proven experience in developing detailed piling plans and procedures. Strong understanding of offshore installation methodologies and equipment. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
