Role Overview: The Offshore Installation Manager (Senior) will be responsible for managing key aspects of the foundation transport and installation (T&I) scope within an offshore wind farm project. The role involves overseeing technical and commercial assessments, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of offshore installation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management & Coordination: Manage sub-scopes related to foundation T&I installation, including the assessment of different installation methodologies and equipment. Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage project impacts. Capture and communicate lessons learned, feeding insights into R&D and operational teams.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards throughout all loadout, transport, and installation activities. Review and approve contractor documentation to confirm compliance with industry best practices and project requirements. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify the proper execution of offshore installation activities.
- Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) Coordination: Manage the sourcing and acceptance of MWS services. Ensure all T&I activities are certified and approved according to industry and regulatory standards.
- Execution & Operational Oversight: Monitor offshore installation execution, including logistics, marine operations, and contractor activities. Ensure the smooth transition of T&I activities from planning to execution. Support troubleshooting and risk mitigation efforts during offshore operations.
Requirements:
- Experience & Qualifications: Experience as an Offshore Installation Manager or in a similar role within Foundation T&I in offshore wind. Proven experience working on European offshore wind projects. Familiarity with EU tender processes (preferred but not required).
- Certifications & Skills: GWO and HUET certifications required. Strong project management skills, with a structured and service-oriented approach. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple project elements simultaneously. Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
