Overview We have a current opportunity for a Project Controls Engineer on a contract basis with a leading energy company. The position will be based in Flintshire, North Wales with regular visits to the HQ in London. Purpose: Support the Package Manager in overseeing contractor performance and assist Project Controls in preparing, updating, and reporting on package/contract schedules. Responsibilities Assist the Package Manager with project controls for assigned work packages. Attend contractor meetings and site visits. Maintain and update package schedules, supporting integration into the overall project schedule. Provide progress reporting, including updates, KPIs, forecasts, variance analysis, and improvement opportunities. Monitor project compliance with contractual and procedural requirements. Verify contractor progress and payment applications. Support action plans to prevent cost and schedule overruns through value engineering. Review and challenge schedule, cost, and manpower forecasts. Prepare performance and progress reports for review with project leadership. Maintain project lessons learned and change management records. Support monitoring of permitting activities. Interfaces Internal: Package team, Project Controls, Engineering, HSE External: Contractors, Local authorities Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) Experience
