Orion Group is supporting a successful and long established construction client to source a Pre-Construction Project Manager to add to their North East Scotland based team. As the Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor, providing the necessary input to allow the Quantity Surveyor to report on the current and projected financial status of the project.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Helping develop the project's main logic of works programme.
- Ensuring that no work commences on site until health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan is in place.
- Developing Method Statements and Risk Assessments together with the Safety Plan and observing the requirements of the CDM Regulations in the status of Principal Contractor.
- Providing leadership and support to all employees.
- Managing labour and maintaining high productivity.
- Expediting materials and information release from the design team.
- Complying with the requirements of the company's Quality Procedure and Manual.
- Managing all sub-contractors and supply chain effectively.
- Supervising the quality of the works and handing over a snag-free building.
What we need from you:
- You’ll already be qualified to Degree level in Construction or Civil Engineering or have a trade background within construction.
- Demonstrable leadership ability to supervise projects from inception to completion.
