We have a current opportunity for an Offshore Export Cable Supply Project Engineer on a contract basis in the wind energy sector with a major operator, outside of IR35.

Location and Working Arrangement: Hybrid: based in central London, approximately 2-3 days a week onsite with the rest WFH. Start in late May/early June, with a duration of 2+ years.

Reporting Line: Reports to the Work Package Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise on export cable design, qualification, manufacture, quality management, testing, and commissioning activities, both onshore and offshore.
  • Support cable design and coordinate loadout planning and schedules with T&I colleagues.
  • Lead cable design and cable rating verification calculations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and procedures related to cable activities.
  • Review study results, design, and construction documents at various development stages to ensure compliance with Employer requirements and project expectations.
  • Review technical aspects of consenting documents.
  • Manage and coordinate technical interfaces, supporting clarification and interface meetings with Contractors, especially concerning onshore landfall and offshore substation packages.
