Exciting opportunity to join a leading Renewable Energy Company specialising in the design and development of long-duration energy storage solutions for utility and distributed power systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience at a small but growing international organisation who are leading the way towards a cleaner, more efficient and secure energy future.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in process modelling, thermodynamics, heat and fluid flow analyses and simulations to contribute to the design and development of a commercial plant.
The Role:- Development of steady-state and dynamic process models for new and existing process designs.
- Perform simulation-based analysis of complex real-world operation of commercial scale plant.
- Assess implications of Process Design choices and help drive operational strategies.
- Interact with external suppliers to facilitate integration of components into the process design and investigate their performance.
- Present to key stakeholders to clearly explain analyses and results and succinctly document work undertaken.
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Chemical/Process Engineering.
- Strong foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer and turbomachinery.
- Experience performing 1D and 2D heat transfer modelling in Python, MATLAB, or equivalent.
- Comfortable learning new simulation tools.
- An understanding of FEA and multi-physics modelling.
