We are working with a well-established Cvil Engineering client based in Dingwall who are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Administrator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised administrator looking to develop their career within the Health & Safety function of a busy Civil Engineering business. The role is primarily administration focused, supporting the Health & Safety team with the accurate management of documentation, records, systems and day-to-day processes. Previous Health & Safety experience or qualifications are not essential, as the company is willing to support the right individual with further training and development, including the potential opportunity to undertake a NEBOSH qualification. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Health & Safety team Maintain accurate H&S records, registers, databases and electronic filing systems Assist with the preparation, updating and distribution of Health & Safety documentation Maintain employee training, competency and certification records Assist with the administration of site inductions and H&S training Record and maintain information relating to accidents, incidents and near misses Assist with coordinating H&S meetings, inspections and audits Track actions arising from inspections, audits and meetings, ensuring these are followed up appropriately Support the administration and document control of risk assessments, method statements and other H&S documentation Liaise with site and project teams to obtain required information and ensure records are kept up to date Assist with maintaining subcontractor and supplier H&S documentation Prepare spreadsheets, reports and other management information as required Provide general administrative support to the wider Health & Safety teamAbout You Previous experience in an administrative, coordination or document control role Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with people across different levels of a business The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your workload The ability to work effectively with both office based and site based teams Previous experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or a regulated environment would be advantageous, but is not essential Training & Development You do not need to hold a formal Health & Safety qualification to be considered for this position. The company is keen to invest in the successful candidate and will provide appropriate training and development to build your knowledge of Health & Safety within the Civil Engineering environment. There may also be an opportunity to work towards a NEBOSH qualification as part of your longer term development.
