- Fabricating, assembling and installing parts of the ship, dependent on their trade

- Using a range of hand and mechanical tools and equipment to complete fabrication activities

- Shop work

- Fabrication of ventilation systems i.e. spiral and box vents using drawings and a range of hand tools

- Fabrication of sheet metal furniture i.e. lockers, cabinets, store modules using drawings and a range of mechanical and hand tools

- To deploy their skills to the very best of their ability in aid of delivering the highest standard of product possible

- To maintain positive working relations with team mates

- Engaging with management in order to improve work productivity
