Job Description

Field Service Engineer Are you an experienced engineer/technician within the Aquaculture industry or similar service sector? Familiar with variable speed drives, motors, gearboxes, feedback sensors and PLCs? The role will primarily require travel to customer locations to service, maintain, install and commission systems on customer sites. In addition to this, you will be required to repair and service equipment at the workshop in Fort William. Training will be provided on the clients equipment and products. As part of work tasks, you will also be required to complete on-site risk assessments, whilst adhering to various company policies/procedures, including filling in daily timesheets and job sheets electronically. Good communication skills, being self-motivated, a willingness to learn and prepared to work flexibly to meet the demands of the job are also required. A high level and
understanding of mechanical and/or electrical disciplines are essential along with good IT skills. The successful candidate will provide day to day technical support and advice for our systems. There is a requirement for travel to customer sites, including locations in Orkney, Mainland, Western Isles and Ireland. Sometimes this travel will be at short notice, through time, you will also be required to provide on-call cover over weekends as part of a rota system.
