We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Stock Controller based in Kyleakin, Isle of Skye. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team in a key operational role.

Location: Kyleakin, Isle of Skye

Contract Type: Temporary

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience

Accommodation: Can be provided if required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accuracy and availability
  • Placing orders with suppliers, tracking shipments and ensuring the timely receipt of goods
  • Receive, inspect and record deliveries
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Coordinate with purchasing and production teams
  • Maintain accurate records using inventory management systems
  • Implementing and adhering to health and safety procedures, standards and environmental legislation
  • Ensure storage areas are organised and comply with health and safety standards
  • Working with other departments, such as sales and warehouse to ensure smooth operations
  • Identifying and resolving issues related to stock and communicating them effectively

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a stock control or inventory management role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good IT skills, particularly in inventory or warehouse management systems
  • Communication skills to ensure effective communication with suppliers, customers and other team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and capable of handling stock as required
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Industry experience: familiarity with mechanical parts and components is advantageous but not essential
