Responsible for well abandonment design and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of decommissioning operations.
Accountabilities
- Planning completion and intervention aspects for well abandonment projects.
- Ensures projects are planned in full compliance with corporate policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements and are executed safely and efficiently.
- Preparation of abandonment programmes.
- Participates in the operational support duty rota and provides operational cover as required.
- Applies appropriate techniques and processes to drive performance through benchmarking and data analysis.
- Demonstrates a challenging and innovative approach, to ensure cost-effective, safe and environmentally acceptable engineering solutions.
- Ensures appropriate peer reviews, risk assessments and assurance reviews are held for each well project with actions closed out accordingly.
- Interfaces effectively with other teams e.g. subsurface, projects, supply chain, finance to safely and successfully deliver the project.
- Contributes to the required time and cost estimates and performance tracking for each project phase.
- Supports the contractor management process by developing highly positive relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Ensures contractor delivery against KPIs/scorecards.
- Responsible for the capture and close-out of lessons learnt and analysis of NPT events, and for the preparation and submission of end of well reports.

Work Experience
- Considerable experience in a completion operations role.

Certifications
- Fully certified by a recognised Well Control Authority e.g. Level 4 IWCF, WELLCAP.
