Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Principal Environmental Consultant/Environmental Specialist-Permits & Licensing for a permanent position based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities
- Working as a key senior member of our Permits & Licensing team, you will provide support to a diverse portfolio of oil and gas projects from project concept through to decommissioning.
- Depending on your experience, you will act as a project manager and/or project sponsor across a range of operators, taking the lead client contact role on a day-to-day basis and guiding consultants within the team to deliver challenging projects on time and within budget.
- At times, there may also be a business need for you to undertake secondments with our oil and gas clients.
- You will be responsible for report writing and client liaison, helping to drive high-quality delivery, with support from other senior consultants.
Experience & Qualifications
- Significant demonstrated professional experience in oil and gas permitting (including term and life chemical permitting).
- Knowledge of offshore energy industries.
- Degree level training in a relevant discipline e.g., environment, chemistry, engineering.
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
- Good understanding of the offshore legislation and involvement in reviewing and consulting on relevant legislation.
- Attendance at technical working groups in previous role.
- You will know how to engage effectively with stakeholders.
