We have a current opportunity for an Offshore Export Cable Supply Project Engineer on a contract basis in Wind with a major operator outside of IR35. Hybrid: The position will be based in central London (2/3 office days per week). Start ASAP, 2 years duration.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical expertise on export cable design, qualification, manufacture, quality management, testing and commissioning activities, both onshore and offshore.
- Provide cable design support and coordinate loadout planning and schedules with T&I colleagues.
- Lead on cable design and cable rating verification calculations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications and procedures related to cable design, manufacture, testing and commissioning activities.
- Review study results and design and construction documents at different stages of development to ensure Employer requirements and project’s expectations are met.
- Review the technical aspects of consenting documents.
- Proactively manage and coordinate technical interfaces.
- Support clarification and interface meetings with Contractors and other work packages, particularly with onshore landfall and offshore substation packages.
