Job Type: Contract 12 months

Rate: £17.51 per hour PAYE, increasing after 12 weeks

Hours: Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:15, Friday 07:30 – 11:30

Overtime: Available and paid at a premium.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to play a key role in assembling high-precision mechanical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling components to specifications, ensuring quality standards, and adhering to industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and systems according to technical drawings and work instructions.
• Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to resolve assembly issues.
• Operate and maintain assembly tools and machinery safely.
• Keep accurate records of assembly processes and materials used.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in Mechanical Assembly or fitting.
• Background in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in using various hand tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings and instructions.
• Experience in aerospace (not essential).
