Fantastic opportunity to join a world-class business in a diverse indirect purchasing role supporting site-wide procurement.

You will work for this innovative manufacturer to support some of their key projects as well as support driving the best price for day-to-day consumables across all areas of the business.

As such, it will be a varied project focused Purchasing / Indirect Buyers role with responsibility for indirect purchasing within manufacture supporting the Supply Chain team to procure production equipment, machinery through to facilities, consumables, stationery to car leasing agreements.

Key accountabilities for Indirect Buyer will include:

  • Supporting the Lead Buyer to purchase shop floor equipment and machinery as required
  • Sourcing and purchasing all site consumables encompassing stationery, mobiles through to car leasing arrangements
  • Negotiation with suppliers and ensuring targets are met
  • Assisting with the identification of new suppliers and monitoring their ongoing performance
  • Support the tender process

To succeed in this interesting Buyer’s role, you will need some previous purchasing/procurement experience ideally in a production/manufacturing environment (although not essential) with broad-based indirect purchasing experience, ideally covering machinery, facilities to consumables.

A working knowledge of SAP / MRP / ERP systems and negotiation skills are required. SAP highly desirable.

The role will be INSIDE IR35 PAYE.
