Job Role for the NPI Engineer:

• Leveraging your expertise to ensure a smooth transition from product development to full-scale production, enhancing design and manufacturing efficiency whilst ensuring the product's quality is not compromised.
• Drive Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities for new and existing products.
• Operations lead of new product introduction.
• Lead virtual builds and prototype development, ensuring early identification of potential manufacturing challenges.
• Plan and oversee first production runs, coordinating with all stakeholders and teams to validate manufacturing processes and ensure product readiness.
• Manage the seamless transition from development to production.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
• Develop, update and maintain comprehensive production documentation, including job routings and work instructions.
• Coordinate with test department and production teams to resolve any testing discrepancies or failure modes.

The successful NPI Engineer will have the below skills and experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or technical role, with RF and electronics or similar experience.
• Proven experience in an NPI Manufacturing Engineering role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and quality systems.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
• BSc (hons) or MSc in Electronics Engineering, experience with electronics and RF components.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards.
• Hands-on experience with RF systems, analogue and digital circuits, antennas and electronics manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies.
