Job Role for the NPI Engineer:
- Leveraging your expertise to ensure a smooth transition from product development to full-scale production, enhancing design and manufacturing efficiency whilst ensuring the product's quality is not compromised.
- Drive Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities for new and existing products.
- Operations lead of new product introduction.
- Lead virtual builds and prototype development, ensuring early identification of potential manufacturing challenges.
- Plan and oversee first production runs, coordinating with all stakeholders and teams to validate manufacturing processes and ensure product readiness.
- Manage the seamless transition from development to production.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Develop, update and maintain comprehensive production documentation, including job routings and work instructions.
- Coordinate with test department and production teams to resolve any testing discrepancies or failure modes.
The successful NPI Engineer will have the below skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or technical role, with RF and electronics or similar experience.
- Proven experience in an NPI Manufacturing Engineering role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and quality systems.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
- BSc (hons) or MSc in Electronics Engineering, experience with electronics and RF components.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards.
- Hands-on experience with RF systems, analogue and digital circuits, antennas and electronics manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies.
