The predicted salary is between 36000 - 54000 £ per year.

Circa £45k based on 40 hours a week but paid door to door - overtime thereafter.

UK travel (must be prepared to stay away when required). Van/tools provided. Superb training provided with career progression. 9% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday. Benefits include personal Bupa HealthCare and death in service insurance policy.

The candidate will be required to be a technician both off and on-site for special purpose machinery. The machinery is powered by both diesel engines and electric motors and has large high-pressure hydraulic systems and electronic control systems. The role will be mainly based in the UK and will require site visits (with the possibility of working away from home for a period). It could also involve occasional visits to Europe and further afield like Singapore.

Field service engineer should have the following:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • An engineering qualification, ideally mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent QBE.
  • Physically fit and able to lift 40kg unassisted.
  • Experience in an engineering technical support role.
  • Extensive experience in fault diagnosis on hydraulic systems and electrical circuits.
  • Previous experience of working as a field technical engineer on-site.
  • Good communication skills with customers and internally within the business.
  • Ability to document work and liaise with customers on site.
  • Be able to complete repairs, upgrades and routine maintenance procedures according to customer needs and standard maintenance schedules.
  • Disassemble malfunctioning equipment when necessary to locate broken parts, and complete repairs using specialized tools.
  • Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are fit for purpose.
  • Experience with working on Can Bus control systems would be an advantage.
  • Experience with working on hydraulic variable displacement pumps and logic control valves.
