CNC Programmer

Location: Abingdon

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer to join a fast-growing team based in Didcot. In this role, you\’ll play a vital part in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components across industries such as aerospace, electronics, and industrial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and set up CNC machines to ensure they meet technical specifications for a variety of complex projects.

  • Operate CNC milling, turning, and drilling machines to manufacture parts with a high level of accuracy.

  • Monitor machine operations during production, ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of setups, production logs, tooling data, and machine performance.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to resolve any technical challenges and ensure the timely completion of production targets.

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 2 years\’ experience in CNC machining, including any apprenticeships.

  • Solid experience in a precision engineering environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM programs.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach to work.

  • Willingness to work afternoon shifts as required.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with metal additive manufacturing or near-net shape parts is a plus.
