Orion Building Engineering Services is looking for an experienced and fully qualified Plumbing Engineer to join our growing engineering team. With more than 20 years' experience, Orion has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building engineering and maintenance services across a wide range of customer sites. The role involves varied plumbing maintenance working across a range of client sites. You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out day-to-day plumbing maintenance, repairs and minor installation works
- Repairing and replacing taps, showers, TMVs, ball valves, gate valves and stopcocks
- Maintaining heating and hot water systems
- Checking and replacing 2-port and 3-port valves, mixing valves, pumps, TRVs and radiators
- Maintaining and replacing shower valves
- Installing and replacing hot and cold-water pipework
- Repairing leaks and carrying out system drain-downs and refills
- Working on cold-water storage tanks and hot-water cylinders
- Completing routine and reactive maintenance
- Making recommendations where further works are required
- Working closely with other engineers and the wider team
What we're looking for:
- You must be a qualified plumber with good practical knowledge and a strong maintenance background.
- Essential requirements include:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating, or equivalent recognised plumbing qualification
- Previous experience working as a Plumbing Engineer or Maintenance Plumber
- At least 2 years' relevant practical experience
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working on heating and hot-water systems
- Good IT skills and confidence using PDA/compliance reporting systems
- A positive and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK driving licence
The following would be an advantage but are not essential:
- G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification
- Water hygiene plumbing experience

- £35,000 - £38,000 basic salary depending on experience
