Water Hygiene Engineer

Overview Immediate Vacancy for 3 x Experienced Water Hygiene Engineers. 2 x based around East London; 1 x based around Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire. Orion Building Engineering Services Ltd have a fantastic opportunity to add to our expanding team of Experienced Water Hygiene Engineers with the role of an additional 3 x experienced Water Hygiene Engineers. With an excellent industry reputation, gained over twenty years, Orion lead the way in the delivery of building engineering and support services.Responsibilities The successful candidates must be experienced and will be responsible for a range of water hygiene tasks, visiting client sites and be the face of the company, seeking to enhance relationships with existing clients.Carrying out key duties to ensure client systems are kept compliant including TMV (thermostatic mixing valves) servicing, chemical descaling, leading and managing disinfection works, sampling, and plumbing-related works from water hygiene tasks.Conduct water testing and control works, including sampling.Conduct water hygiene tasks, descaling, temperature monitoring, TMV Servicing etc.Descaling of shower head and hoses.Work in partnership with fellow Water Hygiene Engineers to carry out Tank Cleans/Disinfections.Calorifier/Hot Water Cylinder Services; Calorifier Clean/Descaling.Expansion Vessel Services.Day-to-Day Plumbing Maintenance – fixings taps, TMVs, showers, ball valves, gate valves, stop cocks desirable.CWS Tanks, HW cylinders, TMVs, TRVs radiators.Shower Maintenance – Maintaining and replacing shower valves.Ability to make recommendations from service visits.Qualifications & Experience Experience in water hygiene engineering; At least 2-3 years in a relevant water hygiene role.Legionella Awareness Training desirable; City & Guilds water industry certifications and other relevant qualifications in water hygiene.Good basic understanding of ACOP L8 & HSG 274 parts 1,2,3.Experience at plumbing – desirable.NVQ Level 2-3 Plumbing or other plumbing qualification desirable.Hold HWSS G3 Qualification to work on unvented and vented cylinders ideally.Experience with water hygiene-related plumbing work is highly desirable.Ability to make recommendations from service visits.Clean UK Driving License.Clean DBS Record.Location & Employment Details Fixed location spread: East London area and Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire area as described above.
