Orion Building Engineering Services Ltd have a fantastic opportunity to add to our expanding team with the role of a Finance Officer Assistant for our office team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks which would include supporting the team with thefinancial health of our company by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements.We are looking for amotivated and dedicated individual eager to advance their career in finance, joining a dynamic team within our Finance Services department. You should be committed to delivering exceptional client-focused services, driving efficiencies through self-service initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within a fast-paced setting.
You will be working alongside likeminded and supportive colleagues in order to provide a great customer service.
Duties
Keep accurate records for all daily transactions ,Prepare balance sheets
Process invoices,Record accounts payable and accounts receivable , Update internal systems with financial data
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports ,Reconcile bank statements
Participate in financial audits ,Track bank deposits and payments
Assist with budget preparation ,Review and implement financial policies
Carrying out day-to-day financial administration, including recording transactions, handling payroll and processing invoices
Liaising with suppliers and customers, building and maintaining relationships and ensuring service levels are met
Undertaking reconciliation tasks and reviews as required such as audits and financial reports
Completing financial analysis tasks such as forecasts,Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures, Prioritise workloads effectively to meet operational needs and customer expectations and Consistently follow up on open queries and jobs to aid closure and completion.

Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
Experience using financial software; Xero
Advanced MS Excel skills
Knowledge of financial regulations
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Sharp time management skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics(or working towards)
ACCA, CIMA, AAT (or working towards)
Professional qualification as a CFA/CPA is considered a plus
Attention to detail
Strong Analytical Skills .
Have an excellent telephone manner, Have the ability to work effectively as a team, Positive attitude and work ethic, Good presentation, planning, and organisational skill, self-motivated and able to work under their own initiative.
- Full time – 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday 8am 5pm.
- 24 days holiday per year plus bank holidays. Increasing by 1 day per year following 3 years of service.
