We are recruiting a Key Account Manager (KAM) for a highly specialised pharmaceutical organisation operating across the UK & Ireland. This is a rare opportunity to join a purpose-led specialty care business focused on improving outcomes for patients and families across complex and underserved disease areas.
This position is not a traditional sales role. It is a strategic, high-impact role for an experienced account manager who thrives on partnership, value creation, and long-term system impact.
As Key Account Manager, you will act as a trusted partner to healthcare professionals and key stakeholders, leading the successful adoption, growth, and long-term impact of specialist therapies across:
- Oncology
- CNS & Chronic Pain
- Rare Diseases, including Paediatric Endocrinology
You will operate across a defined UK & Ireland territory, driving account strategy, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure patients gain access to innovative treatments addressing significant unmet medical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with national objectives and local healthcare system needs
- Build and maintain high-trust relationships with clinicians, payers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Lead and support product launches and lifecycle management across specialty and rare disease portfolios
- Work collaboratively with Medical, Market Access, and Marketing teams to deliver coordinated, customerâcentric solutions
- Analyse market dynamics to identify opportunities for brand growth, access optimisation, and service improvement
Therapy Focus (Portfolio Exposure)
- Oncology: Treatments for ultra-rare and endocrine-related cancers, including advanced adrenocortical carcinoma; Specialist chemotherapy solutions for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours, where tumour reduction is critical
- CNS / Pain: Solutions for severe chronic pain in patients refractory to conventional therapies
- Paediatric Endocrinology: Market-leading therapies for Cushing's syndrome; A newly acquired ultra-orphan paediatric growth disorder therapy
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales or key account management, ideally within specialty care
- Strong strategic thinking, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Comfort working across complex therapy areas and smaller, highly specialised prescriber bases
- A selfâdirected mindset suited to field-based, evolving environments
- A clear commitment to patient outcomes and ethical, purposeâled business practice
