Support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making in a manufacturing environment, focusing on cost control, production efficiency, and operational insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans, incorporating production volumes and cost drivers.
  • Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) on costs, margins, overhead, and production performance.
  • Build financial models for scenario planning, including raw material price sensitivity and capacity utilization.
  • Analyze product/plant profitability, standard costs, BOMs, and inventory impacts.
  • Produce monthly reports, dashboards, and actionable insights for management and operations teams.
  • Partner with procurement, supply chain, and plant managers on cost-saving initiatives and ad-hoc projects (e.g., make-vs-buy, expansions).
  • Assist with month-end close, cash flow forecasting, and ERP data integrity.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • CIMA qualified or part-qualified (preferred; ACCA/ACA equivalents considered).
  • 2+ years in FP&A, cost accounting, or finance within manufacturing/industrial sectors (advantageous).
  • Advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle) and tools like Power BI.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
