This is a full-time night position for a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating and implementing individualized patient care plans using the nursing process. The successful candidate will practice within their scope and adhere to the standards, policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessments to optimize outcomes.
- Comply with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
- Identify communication barriers based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, providing education appropriate to their age, culture, and condition.
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel and precept student nurses or new hires as necessary.
- Demonstrate caring attitudes to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver's license).
- Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- Current STABLE certification (to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Two years of hospital nursing experience preferred, with at least one year in Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Nursing preferred.

This position requires availability for night shifts.
