The Role: Reporting to a senior lawyer, you will act as a trusted advisor to individuals, families and trustees. This role suits an NQ with prior Private Client experience or a lawyer with 1+ PQE. You will deliver clear, compassionate and practical advice while maintaining the highest professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing your own caseload from initial instruction through to completion
- Meeting clients to discuss their matters and maintaining excellent service standards
- Drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and other associated documentation
- Handling probate matters and estate administration
- Assisting with the creation and ongoing management of trusts
- Supporting senior team members where required
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Contributing to marketing, networking and business development activities
Skills & Experience:
- At least 1 year’s experience in a Private Client department (or NQ with equivalent pre-qualification experience)
- Experience drafting Wills, LPAs, and dealing with probate and estate administration
- Strong attention to detail and high-quality drafting skills
- Excellent client care skills with a compassionate, clear and professional manner
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and handle competing priorities
- Strong written communication and solid IT skills
- A proactive, commercial and team-orientated approach
