Role Profile:
As a Franchising Lawyer, you will play a key role in supporting both franchisors and franchisees throughout the full franchise lifecycle. You will be responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating franchise agreements and related documents such as confidentiality agreements, deposit agreements and renewals.
- Ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance, including consumer law, data protection, competition rules and wider contract law requirements.
- Advising franchisors on franchise setup, including structuring franchise models, preparing manuals, deciding territories, setting fees and establishing brand and IP protections.
- Supporting franchisees by reviewing agreements, explaining obligations, assisting with purchases, renewals, resales, property issues and employment matters.
- Protecting intellectual property and brand standards, ensuring consistency and safeguarding confidential information.
- Managing disputes between franchisors and franchisees, including negotiation, mediation and litigation where required.
