The team advises a broad range of banks, lessors, financial institutions, airlines, leasing companies and corporate borrowers on complex, cross-border financing transactions. The practice is particularly recognised for its expertise in aviation finance, while also handling a diverse range of structured and asset-backed financing matters across multiple sectors.

The Role

  • Aviation finance and leasing transactions, acting for lenders, lessors and airlines
  • Cross-border secured and unsecured financing arrangements
  • Operating leases, finance leases and sale-and-leaseback transactions
  • Portfolio acquisitions, restructurings and asset-backed financings
  • General corporate lending and structured finance matters involving high-value assets

The role offers significant client exposure, responsibility from an early stage, and the opportunity to work on high-profile international transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

Candidate Profile

  • England & Wales qualified
  • 3–7 years' PQE (guideline only; strong candidates outside this range will be considered)
  • Trained and qualified at a leading City, US or international law firm
  • Strong asset finance experience, ideally with exposure to aviation finance and leasing transactions
  • Excellent technical drafting and transactional skills
  • Strong academic background
  • Commercially minded, proactive and capable of managing workstreams with increasing autonomy
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and international counterparties
