The Opportunity

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join its Knowledge & Innovation team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong lawyer who enjoys knowledge sharing, mentoring and innovation, and is looking to step away from the demands of fee earning while remaining closely connected to high-quality legal work.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, partners and lawyers across the business, you will play a key role in driving technical excellence, supporting innovation projects and helping the firm maximise the benefits of emerging legal technologies, including AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing technical legal support and guidance to lawyers across the Corporate & Commercial team.
• Developing, maintaining and enhancing knowledge resources, precedents and best practice materials.
• Designing and delivering training programmes to support the ongoing development of legal teams.
• Promoting a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and technical excellence.
• Driving the adoption and effective use of AI and legal technology solutions.
• Producing thought leadership, technical updates and client-facing content.
• Supporting innovation initiatives and new ways of delivering legal services.
• Assisting with the development, coaching and mentoring of junior lawyers and early talent.
• Contributing to tenders, client training programmes and wider business development activities.
• Working closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the practice.

About You

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• A minimum of 5 years' PQE gained within a recognised Corporate & Commercial practice.
• Strong experience advising on commercial contracts and wider corporate and commercial matters.
• Excellent technical legal knowledge and drafting skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• A genuine interest in legal innovation, AI and technology-enabled service delivery.
• Experience of mentoring, coaching, knowledge sharing or delivering training.
• The confidence to influence change and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach and a passion for supporting the development of others.

Previous Knowledge Lawyer experience is not essential. Applications are welcomed from experienced private practice lawyers looking to utilise their expertise in a broader strategic role while benefiting from improved work-life balance and long-term career development.
