Our client is a modern and extremely progressive law firm that is supportive and takes great pride in developing the lawyers that join them. Based in Essex, 30 minutes from central London by train, they currently have 65 staff and aim to be over 100 people in the next two years. To support that continued growth, we are looking for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join the Commercial & Civil Disputes team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and commercially aware newly or recently qualified Solicitor who wants early responsibility, direct client contact and exposure to high-quality, varied dispute resolution work within a supportive and ambitious firm. You will work closely with two experienced litigators on a broad caseload while developing your own files and client relationships from the outset.
You will advise individuals and businesses across a wide range of contentious matters, including:
- Contractual disputes
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
- Debt recovery and enforcement
- Property-related disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- General commercial litigation
- Civil claims and contentious matters involving SMEs and private clients
Be involved in:
- Managing your own caseload with supervision
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and applications
- Advising on strategy, risk and settlement options
- Engaging in ADR, mediation and negotiation
- Supporting senior lawyers on more complex, high-value disputes
- Business development and networking activities
