A leading Milton Keynes firm is looking to recruit a corporate solicitor to join its high-profile team.

The ideal candidate will have some experience within private equity, M&A, corporate, and corporate restructuring. It would also be useful, although not essential, to have an interest in banking. Ideally, your experience will have been gained at a city or medium/large provincial practice.

Responsibilities:

  1. Basic business and company law
  2. Company/business acquisitions and disposals experience acquired through a training contract with a city or medium/large provincial practice.
  3. Familiarity with drafting articles of association, shareholders’ agreements, share options, and similar corporate documentation.
  4. Sound legal knowledge, drafting skills, and experience with a recognised practice.
  5. Commercial, practical, and financial awareness.
  6. Confidence and ability to communicate at senior levels.
  7. Excellent academics and strong ambition for career development.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and marketing skills with the ability to develop contacts for the team and the firm.
  9. Team player able to fit into a friendly, busy unit.
  10. Negotiation skills.
  11. Organisational ability.
