A construction specialist is sought by a long established regional heavyweight that has grown substantially over recent years to almost 300 staff. Several high profile hires, fantastic modern offices and a culture and ethos that operated home working three days a week even before the pandemic has seen this firm recognised as one of this region's leading names.
They now wish to add to their already hugely successful construction team, that is both Legal 500 and Chambers recommended. They have an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who either has a history of construction dispute resolution or commercial property work but can demonstrate experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction work, such as advising on and drafting collateral warranties, professional appointments, standard form contracts and amendments to those.
You will advise their clients on construction documentation including contracts, sub-contracts, collateral warranties, professional appointments, and bonds. This includes advising on many different standard forms such as JCT and NEC, together with bespoke documentation. Depending on your background you may also advise on disputes or other development work.
The firm acts for developers, consultants, main contractors, and specialist subcontractors. The turnover of companies they act for mainly range between £5 million and £25 million. A lot of the work is on commercial buildings and blocks of apartments and they have a good range of core clients who regularly give them repeat work.
If you are looking for something different, dislike large law firms with high targets and long hours, then look no further. Our client is a long established, prestigious Legal 500 rated law firm in the heart of Essex.
