An international offshore heavyweight is looking for an experienced finance lawyer for its Cayman Islands team. If you crave a complete change of scene but are wary about compromising your career, this could be your answer. Joining an impressive team of ex-City/international firm lawyers, you will quickly see that the quality here compares with any top-tier onshore firm. The practice spans the full range of finance work but tends to have a particular focus on acquisition, leveraged and funds finance as well as more general structured finance/debt capital markets work. Once you know the ropes you will be encouraged to take a lead role, getting hands-on experience and enabling you to build your network of contacts in the market. It’s an ideal environment for someone who enjoys a varied and fast-paced practice and who thrives in a client facing role. Requirements Overseas qualified lawyers must be admitted in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand or Canada). Likely to suit someone with 3-6 years’ PQE (minimum 3 years’ PQE required for work permit). Experience of high-value finance work is essential, but the firm is happy to consider finance generalists or those with more targeted finance expertise in one of the core areas. Package Attractive tax-free salary (expected to be in the range of USD160k-220k depending on experience). Comprehensive benefits and bonus.
