This elite offshore law firm is perfectly placed to advise on the full range of work spanning formation, operation, and regulation of captive insurers and reinsurers. It is seeking to capitalise on growth in the market through the addition of two experienced insurance/reinsurance lawyers, one at Associate level (5 years’+ PQE) and one at Counsel level (likely to have at least 8 or 9 years’ PQE). Qualified in the UK (or equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction) or the Cayman Islands, you will demonstrate high-level experience gained with a leading commercial law firm in this sector.
You will join a close knit insurance team in Cayman, collaborating with colleagues across other practice areas as well as in different offices. It is an opportunity to do complex and varied work of the highest calibre, for international clients, in a burgeoning market. The prospects for development are good and the tax-free remuneration very attractive.
This role will suit someone who is career minded and ambitious with the determination to make their mark. All lawyers are encouraged to be client facing but naturally there will be an expectation that someone joining at Counsel level makes an active contribution to marketing and client development efforts.
