We’re working with an elite offshore law firm on an opportunity for a Corporate Lawyer in its British Virgin Islands office. Aimed at experienced Associate to Senior Associate level, it will suit someone with 5 years’+ PQE, gained with a respected commercial law firm.

You will join a close-knit team working on a broad range of international matters spanning M&A, private equity, joint ventures, and capital markets, as well as some funds and finance work. Diverse corporate experience would be useful but someone with a specialist skillset who is keen to broaden their exposure would also be welcome.

BVI is a beautiful place, just pop ‘Tortola’ into a search engine and see for yourself. What the images don’t show is the lawyers just like you, who are making their lives and their careers in this Caribbean idyll. We have helped numerous lawyers to make the move to BVI. It’s a leap of faith, and takes a bit of courage, but it’s one that people rarely regret.

Even if the novelty of living in one of the world’s most desirable holiday destinations wears off, you will still prize the quality of work, the extensive responsibility, the career progression, the close-knit friendship groups, and yes, the low-tax salary that comes as standard in these parts. It's not for everyone. You need to be comfortable with life on a small island, one that is remote even by offshore standards.

And you will need to thrive in an environment where you will be expected to take the initiative, sometimes operating outside your comfort zone, such is the variety of work you may be exposed to. For the right person, this could be a life-changing career move.
