A newly or recently qualified, contentious probate Solicitor is required by an outstanding law firm that grew by 22% last year, to a turnover in excess of £40m, and is ranked in the top 120 UK Law firms. We have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor (NQ to 3-year PQE) to join a growing Contentious Probate Team in Norwich. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the drive and enthusiasm to further their career, who will manage their own caseload, assist senior members of the team and play a key role in a collaborative, forward-thinking team. You will be based in Norwich but work closely with the wider team.

Some of the duties relevant to this role are listed below:

  • Advise and assist clients in relation to their matters, ensure a high level of client service is maintained at all times and that the client’s aims are met (subject to professional and regulatory requirements).
  • Manage a varied caseload of high-quality contentious probate matters, including disputes between beneficiaries, executors, and trustees.
  • Prepare and review legal documents ahead of court hearings.
  • Ensure compliance with all file management processes, including those related to file audits.
  • Work as a team with colleagues in promoting the interests of the firm.
  • Comply with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on contentious aspects of administration of estates and trusts.
  • Work closely with senior colleagues on complex matters and business development initiatives.
  • Manage client cases from start to finish, with appropriate supervision and support.
