Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advising on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals of investment properties, as well as lease negotiations for both landlords and tenants.
  • Supporting team-wide transactions, including the preparation and negotiation of certificates, reports, and related documentation.
  • Assisting with the drafting and negotiation of various transaction documents and undertaking due diligence exercises.
  • Supporting the real estate elements of large-scale corporate property transactions and financing matters.
  • Delivering a high standard of client service in a professional and commercially focused manner at all times.
  • Ensuring client matters are progressed efficiently, with regular communication provided regarding progress and costs.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of all client documentation and sensitive information.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry contacts.
  • Contributing towards agreed billing and time recording targets.

Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years’ PQE gained within a commercial real estate practice at a well-regarded law firm.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong drafting and written communication skills.
  • Sound technical and analytical capability.
  • Commercially minded with an interest in business development and marketing initiatives.
  • High attention to detail, alongside strong organisational and listening skills.
  • Confident and personable, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Calm and resilient, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
