Duties and Responsibilities
- Advising on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals of investment properties, as well as lease negotiations for both landlords and tenants.
- Supporting team-wide transactions, including the preparation and negotiation of certificates, reports, and related documentation.
- Assisting with the drafting and negotiation of various transaction documents and undertaking due diligence exercises.
- Supporting the real estate elements of large-scale corporate property transactions and financing matters.
- Delivering a high standard of client service in a professional and commercially focused manner at all times.
- Ensuring client matters are progressed efficiently, with regular communication provided regarding progress and costs.
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of all client documentation and sensitive information.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry contacts.
- Contributing towards agreed billing and time recording targets.
Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years’ PQE gained within a commercial real estate practice at a well-regarded law firm.
- Strong academic background.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and concisely.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Strong drafting and written communication skills.
- Sound technical and analytical capability.
- Commercially minded with an interest in business development and marketing initiatives.
