Our client is a Legal 500 and Chambers recommended law firm, recognised as one of East Anglia's leading firms. The firm offers a broad range of legal advice to individuals and companies, both nationally and internationally, and is consistently ranked highly for providing excellent client service.
They now wish to recruit a newly or recently qualified Employment Lawyer. Ideally, candidates should have had exposure to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment work during their training and/or within their current role, including, in particular, experience dealing with:
- Employment Tribunal cases, including drafting pleadings and correspondence
- Reviewing and drafting employment contracts, service agreements, settlement agreements, and policies
- Advising on day-to-day HR and employment law matters
- Business development experience, including networking
The Employment team carries out a high calibre of work and has been credited with being one of the best in the region. Working with both companies and individuals, the team acts on a vast range of matters locally and nationally and prides itself on building strong relationships.
You must be able to:
- Manage your own caseload and assist others in the team
- Manage your own financial housekeeping
- Conduct meetings with clients both face to face and remotely
- Assess legal issues and advise accordingly / conduct legal research / advise on costs and scope of work
- Draft documents and letters of advice
- Keep up to date with law and practice
- Have excellent communication and team skills
