Commercial Litigation Lawyer – Cayman Islands
A leading multi-jurisdictional offshore law firm is looking for a commercial litigation lawyer to join its acclaimed Cayman Islands Dispute Resolution team. This is an opportunity to enjoy the myriad advantages of offshore life while advancing your career in a truly world-class financial centre.
Advising on the Cayman law elements of major cross-border disputes, your workload will be high-value, varied, and technically complex. You can expect to be at the forefront, working closely with some of the leading Partners in the offshore world and quickly building your contact book. Commercially focused but with a financial services flavour, you might be involved in contractual, shareholder or joint venture disputes, contentious insolvency, fraud and asset tracing, or specialist banking and financial services litigation. There will be ample opportunities to show your aptitude in both a legal and a client management/development capacity, ideal for an ambitious lawyer.
Requirements
- Overseas qualified lawyers must be admitted (Barrister or Solicitor) in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand or Canada).
- Likely to suit someone with 3-6 years’ PQE (minimum 3 years’ PQE required for work permit).
- Experience of high-value commercial disputes is essential. A general commercial litigation background fits well but those with a relevant specialism, such as contentious insolvency, are also of great interest.
