We are on the lookout for a Distribution Supervisor to lead by example in maintaining Origin's continued excellence in transporting and checking customer orders ensuring all items are ready and in full for the loading team. Shift Pattern: Rotating Shift Pattern: 6:00am-2:30pm | 2:45pm-11:15pm
Key Responsibilities of the Distribution Supervisor includes but is not limited to:
- Loading of crates and containers for overseas deliveries
- Transportation of goods to Unit 1 for these to be ready for loading that evening
- Quality Checks to make sure that the product is damage and defect free before loading
- Loading Unit 1 racks with finished product
- Ensuring that the order in full is ready and there are no missing parts
- Participate fully in any training identified and organised
- Assisting customers collecting products with locating and loading orders
- Assisting the drivers with loading for 1st and 2nd runs
- Transporting any materials to other units if and when required
- Ensure all orders are placed in the correct sections and all paperwork is updated and correct
- Maintain responsibility for the team ensuring direction of staff and any Agency as required
- Ensure the members in your team are following the correct process
- Communicate with the office team with any issues
- Control & Monitor Health & Safety when transporting goods and ensuring training for individuals is in place and relevant
- Safe systems are developed and maintained so they are current and updated
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role
- Relevant transport background and having worked in a transport environment for a minimum of 2 years including a warehouse background of vehicles being loaded
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexible, reliable, and organised approach
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Good computer skills including, MS Office
- Experience in managing staff and organising cover for any sicknesses and shortages
- Ability to take onboard new systems or suggest ideas to evolve current processes
- Team Management qualifications (Desirable)
