You'll work closely with managers, operational teams and senior leaders to maintain compliance, manage risk and ensure our established management systems and improvement programmes continue to deliver.

What you'll be doing
- Leading and supporting the SHEQ team across our sites
- Maintaining our Integrated Management System and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Managing internal audits, supporting external certification audits and overseeing corrective actions
- Monitoring SHEQ performance, identifying trends and providing clear reporting to senior management
- Supporting operational risk assessments, COSHH, Safe Systems of Work and incident investigations
- Overseeing key compliance programmes including statutory inspections, fire safety, emergency preparedness and Legionella control
- Managing SHEQ training requirements and working with managers and HR to maintain competency and compliance
- Overseeing our Assure SHEQ management system and ensuring actions, documentation and workflows remain effective
- Monitoring environmental performance and supporting sustainability and regulatory reporting, including SECR, EPR and Wastepack

What we're looking for
You'll need practical SHEQ experience within a manufacturing or operational environment and the confidence to manage a broad remit with a good degree of autonomy. You'll ideally bring:
- An IOSH qualification or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Experience managing audits, non-conformities and corrective actions
- Practical experience of risk management and incident investigation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build credible relationships at all levels
- Good analytical skills, with the ability to turn performance data into meaningful actions
- Experience managing or supporting a SHEQ team
- An Internal Auditor qualification, IEMA/environmental qualification and experience with SHEQ management systems such as Assure would be advantageous, as would experience of environmental and sustainability reporting.
What you'll be joining
