Brooks Ecological, an Origin Enterprises company, is an ecology‑led consultancy with a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from large‑scale habitat restoration and management schemes to strategic urban extensions and smaller private initiatives. With clients ranging from local authorities, house builders, schools, charities and householders, we offer an exciting variety of projects and the chance to be part of a growing, collaborative team.

These roles will be on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract from April 2026 and we are interested in hearing from those looking for either full‑time or part‑time hours (minimum 15 hours per week).

Responsibilities
  • Undertake night‑time bat survey work, including working as part of a team on bat emergence surveys or as part of a two‑person unit undertaking bat transects and deploying static monitoring. Occasional daytime surveys may also be available.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Degree in Ecology or a related field, or working towards one, or previous ecological surveying experience.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own car (desirable).
  • Willingness to travel to and from site, and our Guiseley office, near Leeds.
  • Mobile phone available for liaison with the office.
  • Willingness to work outside normal office hours.

All necessary training will be provided in house by Brooks Ecological.
