Are you an Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves being the right hand to an entrepreneurial leader, and is motivated by variety, impact, and pace? This is a rare and exciting opportunity to support the Founder & CEO of a successful residential property and construction group based in Brighton while also helping him scale an ambitious new start-up in the net-zero energy space that has just secured major funding.
About the Founder
Dynamic, down-to-earth and genuinely without ego, the Founder is a hands-on, 100-miles-per-hour operator with multiple business interests. His main company specialises in redeveloping blocks of flats for rental, supported by an in-house property management division. Alongside this, he has recently launched an innovative net-zero energy venture that is demanding increasing focus.
He works long hours, travels frequently (business and personal), and now needs an Executive Assistant who can match his pace, anticipate his needs, and give him the bandwidth to stretch himself further.
The Executive Assistant Role
This is not a traditional support job, it's a true partnership. The Founder is upgrading the role to full level because he recognises he needs someone who can sit beside him, quickly understand priorities, and take ownership of tasks independently.
Approx. 80–90% of the role will be business-focused across his multiple ventures, with around 10% supporting personal matters.
You will be his extension: filtering and problem-solving, handling time-consuming tasks, bringing him options and recommendations, and enabling him to be more productive, effective, and strategically focused.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting as his right hand - keeping him organised, informed and focused
- Managing a fast-moving inbox, schedule and heavy travel commitments
- Progressing projects across property, construction and the new net-zero venture
- Research, coordination, preparing briefings, and handling follow-up
- Creating structure, bringing order, and helping him stay ahead of commitments
- Presenting well-considered alternatives before decisions are taken (his preferred style)
- Supporting occasional personal admin and travel for him and his family
Who This Will Suit
- An Executive Assistant who strives to be indispensable. You must want to be a key strategic partner to a successful founder while gaining exposure to high-growth, high-impact ventures.
- Experience in the property sector would be extremely helpful, but it’s not essential. What matters most is pace, judgement, efficiency, resilience, and the ability to keep up with a founder who likes to move quickly.
- Someone who thrives in high-energy entrepreneurial cultures
- A doer with exceptional organisational instincts
- A calm operator in chaotic moments
- Someone who learns fast and enjoys variety
