Orida Hotel Maidstone is located off the M20, less than 10 minutes from central Maidstone. A perfect destination for families and couples to take in countryside scenery at Leeds Castle and Mote Park, both less than four miles away. With 146 spacious bedrooms, our valued guests will enjoy every comfort Orida has to offer, such as our quality restaurant, lounge bar, Starbucks cafe and Orida Health featuring an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, spa and gym.

This position is casual but would be for approx 1 - 2 days a week with more shifts available to cover holidays or sickness or busy periods. Experience is required or this may suit a student who is learning a maintenance related trade and wants a couple of days work a week. Full training specific to the hotel would be provided.

The main tasks would include:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and curative maintenance.
  • Order and monitor fuels, lubricants and repair parts.
  • Maintain clean and tidy plant rooms.
  • Attend to all types of repair and maintenance work in the Hotel premises, including any new additions/extensions to the Hotel or any other properties maintained by the Hotel.
  • Repair and maintain guest room facilities, light facilities, furniture and equipment.
  • Assist with the implementation of the hotel’s preventative maintenance system and repair log system.
  • Record daily service work, including maintaining individual replacement costs along with time/task labour hours cost.
  • Participate in instructing colleagues on the proper operation, safety procedures and cleaning of all equipment.
  • Establish and maintain proper parts inventory levels.
  • Implement and carry out maintenance program in accordance with established timeframes.
  • Carry out and document regular inspections of plant and equipment in computerised system.
  • Ensure that appropriate files are maintained and resources kept for future reference.
  • Complete daily reports outlining work undertaken for the day.
