About the RoleOri seeks a qualified in-house legal counsel to help us comply with all regulations and requirements. The legal counsel will draft and manage legal documents, oversee all legal aspects of our business, and offer guidance and advice to management. Applicants must know how to manage legal documents, review litigation strategy, and handle statutory filing. The job requires extensive knowledge of legal language and practices, and excellent communication skills. Our ideal candidate is highly organised, experienced with crisis management, and capable of handling litigation, patents, and infringement.
Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and support across all areas of the business.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, and partnership deals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Manage litigation and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Develop and implement company policies on legal matters and risk management.
- Support corporate governance, including board resolutions and entity management.
- Advise on employment law matters and support HR with employment contracts and policies.
- Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory developments relevant to the technology industry.
- Educate and train staff on legal topics, compliance issues, and internal policies.
- Work with external counsel on litigation, regulatory investigations, IP matters, or major transactions, ensuring alignment with business goals and internal risk tolerance.
- E&W Qualified lawyer with 3+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally with a mix of law firm; in-house or tech scale-up.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-versed in legal terminology and operations.
- Strong understanding of corporate law and legal defense strategies.
- Knowledge of current legislation practices.
