Position Summary: The Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting electronics systems for OrganOx’s medical devices, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety standards. The role involves full lifecycle electronics design from concept through to manufacturing handover, including schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and verification. Proficiency with Altium Designer will be considered a strong advantage. This is a flexible on-site role based in our Oxford office, combining on-site collaboration with remote design work to ensure close interaction with cross-functional engineering, quality, and regulatory teams.
Major Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing electronic circuits and PCB layouts, with a focus on reliability, safety, and manufacturability.
- Creating schematics and PCB designs using Altium Designer (advantageous).
- Performing component selection and design calculations to meet performance specifications.
- Conducting design verification and validation in accordance with IEC 60601 and other applicable standards.
- Collaborating with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of electronics.
- Supporting prototype assembly, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Preparing and maintaining design documentation.
- Participating in design reviews and providing technical input for continuous product improvement.
- Supporting transfer to manufacturing and assisting with supplier engagement for electronics components and assemblies.
- Adhering to the letter and spirit of OrganOx’s Code of Conduct and all other company policies.
