This position reports to the Director of Third Party Risk, Compliance & ESG and is accountable for driving Procurement-specific ESG strategies that align with corporate sustainability objectives, including GHG reduction targets. Acting as the primary link between Procurement and Sustainability teams, the role ensures ESG principles are embedded across supplier lifecycle management, sourcing, and category strategies. Additionally, it represents Procurement in ESG committees and leads change management and communication initiatives to support successful integration. This role offers flexibility, with the option for hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate ESG strategies into procurement processes, aligning with corporate sustainability goals (including GHG reduction and Scope 3 emissions).
- Lead ESG governance and stakeholder engagement, serving as Procurement's liaison with Sustainability teams and representing the function in ESG committees.
- Ensure regulatory and reporting compliance, driving Procurement's contributions to CSRD, CDP and other ESG disclosures, while monitoring external trends.
- Manage supplier ESG capability building, including EcoVadis programme deployment, training and performance improvement initiatives.
- Oversee Scope 3 emissions data collection and reporting, collaborating with suppliers to enhance transparency and data quality.
- Maintain ESG data systems and dashboards, ensuring integrity, traceability and providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation, managing sustainability projects, change initiatives and promoting innovation in sustainable procurement.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in Procurement, Sustainability and ESG strategy and leadership.
- Strong programme management, organisational and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Proven analytical capability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
