Organon is hiring a Reliability and Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our worldâclass manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland. We are seeking a Reliability & Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead both proactive and reactive problemâsolving activities within the Bulk IPT Maintenance team. This role focuses on improving equipment reliability, reducing repetitive failures, and driving continuous improvement to enhance safety and quality performance as well as asset lifecycle management.
You will play a key role in root cause analysis, maintenance strategy development, and providing crossâshift continuity during complex technical issues, while supporting longâterm asset reliability and ensuring compliance with safety and quality legislation.
Role Responsibilities:- Lead structured problemâsolving and root cause analysis to eliminate repetitive and highâcost equipment failures
- Develop and implement engineering solutions that improve asset reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance
- Analyse equipment history, downtime, and breakdown data to drive maintenance strategies and capital planning
- Drive predictive and preventative maintenance programmes to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation
- Provide technical leadership and continuity across shifts during complex breakdowns and critical events
- Review equipment and spareâpart obsolescence, implementing proactive replacement and compliant inventory strategies
- Deliver continuous improvement initiatives using KPIs, visual management, benchmarking, and industry best practices
- Ensure maintenance programmes support product quality, regulatory compliance (PUWER, LOLER, ATEX), and safe systems of work
- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, or asset management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven capability in root cause analysis, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Confident working with data, KPIs, and crossâfunctional stakeholders.
- Passionate about safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
