About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Solar Roofer to join our expanding renewable energy team, working across Yorkshire, Cumbria, and Northumberland. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing solar PV systems on domestic and small commercial properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar PV mounting systems, panels, and roof fixings on various roof types (tiled, slate, flat, etc.)
- Conduct roof surveys and assess suitability for solar installations
- Work closely with electricians and project teams to support system installation and cable runs
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety at all times
- Carry out maintenance and repair work on existing solar systems as needed
- Communicate effectively with site managers, clients, and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Roofer, with solar PV installation experience (domestic or commercial)
- Strong understanding of roofing systems and safe working at height
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Working at Height and Manual Handling certifications (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to high-quality work
